In case you missed it, we’ve expanded to offer various ISO implementation programs to companies in Australia. This is because Australia is a cool country with good beer, nice beaches, and where everything alive wants to kill you. Australia is basically Jurassic Park, but without the fences to keep the venomous things away from people.
To pull this off, we’ve partnered with Scott Smith over at S&J Auditing and Consulting, who operates out of Perth. Scott does mostly ISO “tri-systems” (ISO 9001 + 14001 + 45001), which is the preferred approach nearly everywhere but the United States. For some reason, US clients don’t bother with 14001 and 45001, probably because we already have EPA and OSHA.
Meanwhile, we do standards that S&J doesn’t, like AS9100 and ISO 17025.
So by combining forces, this has allowed S&J to offer AS9100 in Australia, through Oxebridge, while we can offer ISO 14001 and 45001 to our clients, through S&J. Neither of us is limited to our home countries, either, since much of this work can be done remotely now. And, in a pinch, airplanes exist, I guess.
Recently, we finished a joint AS9120 implementation for Park Automotive which, despite the name, actually provides paint products to aerospace as well as automotive companies. Scott and I did the work together, with Scott doing the on-site visit in Australia, and me sitting on my ass and taking the credit for everything later. Win-win!
Oxebridge also recently completed a full AS9100 implementation for Diamond Defence, a fiber optic cable assembly firm out of Melbourne, on the other side of Australia. For that one, we did the entire implementation remotely. We used my “photomapping” method to perform remote internal audits. Diamond received its AS9100 certificate from the certification body KSQA.
So, if you are in Australia, you must do two things. First, duck, because there’s probably some poisonous spider or snake flying at you right now. Next, if you need any ISO or AS certification, don’t rule out Oxebridge because we are on the other side of the planet. Likewise, if you need 14001 or 45001, S&J can still help you, too, no matter where you are.
The world is a very tiny place now, thanks to technology.
