WHAT IS IT?
ISO 45001 is a standard published by the International Organization for Standardization that defines accepted practices for how a company can manage its occupational health and safety (OHS) management activities, to reduce workplace injuries and improve overall safety.

ISO 45001 is generic, and can be used by any type of company wanting to standardize its OHS Management System to align with international practices.
WHY DO WE NEED IT?
ISO 45001 is often demanded by customers as a requirement to do business with them. It is also used to show customers and the public that your company has put in rigorous controls to ensure workplace safety and reduce injuries.
OXEBRIDGE’S ROLE?

HOW MUCH IS IT?
Certification costs are determined by the Certification Body, but average about $1,300 per audit day. The number of audit days is based on employee count and other factors, per IAF MD5. Oxebridge’s implementation costs are discussed below.
HOW LONG?
Oxebridge can provide the implementation portion in as little as 4o working days (two months). The Certification Body audit then takes a few days, but the final certificate may not be received until a month later.
WHERE DO I BUY IT?
The ISO 45001 standard is available for sale by ISO at www.iso.ch. It may be available through national standards bodies at lower prices, however.
WHAT IS CERTIFICATION?
A company that implements the standard can then obtain “ISO 45001 certification” by undergoing an audit by an accredited Certification Body. After a successful audit, the company receives an internationally-recognized certificate attesting that the OHS Management System conforms to ISO 45001.
