Peter Fraser over at BP Trends has a good dissection of the “process approach” defined in ISO 9001 since its 2000 revision, and some of the failings of it. I’ve criticized TC 176 for not understanding processes at all, and thus being unable to consistently define what they are talking about in the 9001 standards to date, including the latest 2015 version. Fraser tackles the problem from some other angles.
