[This article was written before the recent pause on third-party CMMC certification. Postscript added at end.]

The Summit7 scumbags have once again leaned into their “let’s gaslight the planet in order to sell our CMMC snake oil” strategy once again, in a toxic, smug, and cringeworthy video on YouTube. This time, cyberhobo and would-be doxxer Jacob Horne joins wannabe used car salesman and pancake jockey Jason Sproesser to claim that anyone pointing out something really obvious must be, in their words, “crazy.” That obvious thing is that there are not enough CMMC assessors to carry out the assessments allegedly needed by the DoD.

Now, keep in mind both Horne and Sproesser have been all over CMMCWorld with their hands up Katie Arrington’s skirt, insisting that the DIB is a collection of criminals and scammers and that only CMMC will save us from their fraud. It’s not at all clear why Summit7 thinks anyone would hire them to do anything, since they accuse their entire possible customer base of crimes before they ever meet them.

They really seem to lean in on the fact that anyone who disagrees with them must suffer from some mental illness. I can only assume that the mental illness they speak of is “a healthy skepticism of grift.

Says Sproesser:

Yeah, and it’s crazy to think about it that when you actually take any look at the statistic statistics and you look at the numbers associated with it, you see how I don’t want to say impressive, but you see the progress that has been made, and it doesn’t match the argument that’s coming from the same five knuckleheads within the ecosystem that seem to think that we don’t have enough assessors.

You have to go see how he says it, too, with a mocking tone and smug-as-fuck attitude.

POSTSCRIPT: Now as we see the CMMC third-party assessment portion of the program has been tabled for now, Summit7 couldn’t run to YouTube fast enough to say more stupid things. In this newer video, the Horne and Sproesser insist that by removing the C3PAO aspect of CMMC, “contractor liability just went UP!” Alright, let’s follow that thought: if so, then does that mean C3PAO’s held the liability before the suspension of third-party audits?

I think we all know that’s not true. The C3PAOs would do exactly as their ISO certification body counterparts have done for forty years, and claim that audits are a “snapshot in time” and not a reflection of daily reality, and so they have no liability whatsoever.

There is no level of misanthropic, panic-inducing, nutjobbery the Summit7 and CMMC shills will not engage in.
