You can’t keep a good scam down. If you recall, years ago we reported that four incestuous parties got together and invented a standard and certification scheme that nobody wanted. ANAB, along with registrar Smithers, consultant John Allin, and the American Snow Contractors Association — which is run by a guy whose sole experience is in publishing — invented “SN9001,” an ISO 9001 variant for the “snow management” industry.

Because ISO 9001 wasn’t sufficient enough.

Seems the various kissing cousins weren’t quite done shoving their tongues down each other’s throats, and updated the SN9001 standard to match ISO 9001:2015, inventing SN9001:2016. So you can buy a standard, get the consulting, get certified — with an accreditation! — all by the same people.

You know, I’m just done with this entire thing. Go read the old articles here. I can’t do this again.

Shameful.
