Winter Haven FL — Oxebridge has launched two Facebook groups for users, auditors, consultants, trainers and other stakeholders of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system standards. The purpose of these groups is to discuss the standards, exchange ideas and contact information, and to grow the acceptance of ISO 9001 and AS9100 in general.

The ISO 9001 User Group’s direct link is http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=109599275742378. It is open to all companies and individuals with an interest in ISO 9001. Members will be allowed to promote their companies and services, although repeated spamming will be moderated.

“To date, Facebook hasn’t had much ISO 9001 or AS9100 content,” Christopher Paris, the founder of both Oxebridge and the Facebook group, said. “It’s a great platform for social networking within quality management, and a great way to discuss ways to improve, promote and just chat about the standards.”

A similar AS9100 Users Group has been established, with its own link here:

For both groups, users may post files (within copyright and trademark restrictions), discussions, photos, videos and more. All such posts must be on topic.

As with all Facebook groups, admission is open and free. A Facebook account, also free, is required.

Why we report on these topics

Since 2000, Oxebridge has worked to improve ISO and related certification schemes by identifying problems and then proposing solutions. We report on issues affecting standards users because so few other news outlets do. Our belief is that in order to fix the problems in these schemes, we must first understand the nature and breadth of those problems. Our reporting aims to do just that. Elsewhere on the Oxebridge site you will find White Papers and other articles proposing ideas to correct these problems.
