I’m quoted in an article on MLive.com regarding Perry Johnson’s latest run at fame, his (likely doomed) campaign for Michigan governor.
Johnson ran and lost previously, then ran for US President and lost that, too. So he’s back at it again, because he just cannot understand that the American people “are just not that into you.”
Worse for Johnson, the quote they used from me includes the phrase “moon cancer,” so that might follow him around a bit.
Johnson is actually experiencing a bit of a redemption arc, but is too busy preening for the camera to notice. Where his company, Perry Johnson Registrars, was once broken up for selling both consulting and certification, now the very same organizations that worked to break up PJR — like ANAB — are engaged in the exact same practices. Now, it’s Johnson who looks like the hero, having taken extreme measures to eliminate all conflicts of interest, while CBs like LRQA, BSI, Intertek, and Bureau Veritas operate consulting companies openly.
And, to be honest, the Oxebridge clients who have used PJR for certification have never filed a single complaint in 20 years… that’s some record. Of course, Johnson himself doesn’t run PJR anymore, as he took over Perry Johson Consulting. But if I were him, I would be browbeating all those scammers who berated me for years and then turned around and did the exact same thing he was accused of.
But Perry is too busy fixing his makeup.
