Winter Haven FL — Facing challenging economic times, Oxebridge Quality Resources continues its long history of defying adversity and the status quo, and is undergoing radical change. While similar consultancies are shutting their doors, and registrars and accreditors are laying off audit and support staff by the dozens, Oxebridge is targeting international expansion. Within the next few months, the company will be re-formed as Oxebridge Quality Resources International.

The change in name reflects the intent by Oxebridge to expand to countries that it feels are currently under-served by ISO 9001 and AS9100 consultancies, including Mexico, Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. At this point, the act of opening offices in those countries is in its exploratory phase, but the change in name shows a dedication to expanding Oxebridge’s reach outside of the USA.

Some additional changes in staff are expected, but these are due to organizational structure shifts, not due to the economy or any particular difficulties. The change in name is largely symbolic, and the implementation programs for standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100 and ISO 17025 will remain the same — fast, flexible, customized and affordable. The company’s current headquarters will remain in downtown Winter Haven, Florida.

Why we report on these topics

Since 2000, Oxebridge has worked to improve ISO and related certification schemes by identifying problems and then proposing solutions. We report on issues affecting standards users because so few other news outlets do. Our belief is that in order to fix the problems in these schemes, we must first understand the nature and breadth of those problems. Our reporting aims to do just that. Elsewhere on the Oxebridge site you will find White Papers and other articles proposing ideas to correct these problems.
