My novel DR. CUBA is now launched on Amazon, and you can grab the e-book version for only 99 cents (or free, if you have Kindle Unlimited). This is a soft-launch of what I am calling the “Secret Syndicate Edition” of the book, a pre-publication edition. If that sounds confusing, it just means that when I eventually get a publisher for this, the final edition may have slightly different content and cover art. The cover price will also go up, obviously.
If you’re really cheap and don’t want to give me 99¢, you can get the book for free by joining the Oxebridge Discord channel. I’m trying to phase out our Slack channel, and as we switch to Discord, I am offering some freebies for those who sign on.
DR. CUBA tells the story of Inspector Heiner Thumann who, in 1945, investigates a series of murders and gold heists attributed only to the name “Dr. Cuba.” Thumann, alongside his assistants Bernard Gentleman and Ximena Torres Orellana, must discover if Dr. Cuba is a criminal organization, a man, or even human.
This is the first in a series of novels. The second, titled THE THREE HEADS OF DR. CUBA, is finished and awaiting final editing before release. The third, THE BLASPHEMIES OF DR. CUBA, is underway. Fans of crime fiction, film noir, horror, hard-boiled detective pulps, old silent films, and anything by filmmaker Fritz Lang, will enjoy this unusual series.
DR. CUBA is also currently being translated into Spanish for a Latin America release, and I’ve started production on an audio book version. (Don’t wait too long for that, though, since it may take a while.)
