Stephen Keneally of American Global Standards, an unaccredited self-accredited certificate mill operating out of Oxnard CA, has sent me the original text of Bhagavad Gita, or at least something that looks like it. It’s a nearly 4,000 word screed on life, corruption, the sins of man, and the downfall of the hero. Or it’s the downfall of man, the sins of the hero and corruption of life. Who knows, it’s massive.

You can read the whole thing here, in its entirety, complete with all his misspellings of simple two letter words, like “by.”

It comes in response after having previously written that AGS was “successfully sued by ANAB for illegal use of RAB/ANAB logo.” Had I known that 11 words could generate nearly 4000 more, I would have invented a car that runs on typewriters.

For those that don’t know, AGS is run by Mr. Keneally, who also manages the accreditation body AIAO-BAR, which happens to accredit AGS. The reason Mr. Keneally and his friends created this conflict of interest?

To battle conflict of interest, of course!

You see, ANAB and IAF are so rife with conflicts of interest, that the only solution is to create more of them. Because contrary to popular belief, sunlight is not the best disinfectant. More germs are. Who knew?

This is not new. The same nonsensical, self-contradicting argument is frequently made by Mr. Keneally’s peers, including cert mill operator Daryl Guberman (at least when he’s not stealing photos of hams.)  But Mr. Keneally has even less of a personal filter than Guberman — if that’s possible — and has no problem making potentially libelous allegations in public, like these which he actually asked me to publish. Well, I live to serve…

(I am not adding “sic” to all the spelling errors, like Randy Dougherty’s name, since it will break up the flow.)

  • IAF is a “complete sham founded & controlled entirely by Randy Doherty”
  • (Registrar) “Orion, under direction from Doherty … conspired with AGS Japanese partner Mr. Hiro Nishajima of Techno Asia … to reissue Orion/RAB certificate to legitimate AGS customers in Japan stealing more than $1,000,000….”
  • Quality Digest magazine is biased because it “is ASQ/RAB-now ANAB publication & Randy Doherty is the anonymous expert quoted.”
  • The ANAB (then RAB) “action in suspending & ultimately withdrawing AGS’s accreditation was based on a ‘shakedown” of AGS by RAB”

Mr. Keneally has also apparently created a handy publication — now on revision 3 — that he sends to those companies asking about his “certificate mill” status, and in which he repeats some of the accusations, including the one about IAF and Randy Dougherty. The handout also includes this statement:

AGS is now accredited by the American International Accreditation Organization (AIAO-BAR) www.aiao-bar.org an organization established in 2003 by industry stake holders unhappy with their experience with ANAB.  AIAO-BAR competes with ANAB & other accreditation bodies worldwide. Whether for profit or non-profit, accreditation bodies are money making enterprises for their founders & employees & since they are paid by the very companies they accredit, have a built in “conflict-of-interest.”

In a follow up email, Mr. Keneally doubles down:

  • Paul Burke did conspire with Randy  Doherty, AGS Auditors & Nishijima from Tecqno Asia to transfer all the contracts to Orion
  • Doherty is a deceitful, unethical, liar.

In case anyone was dubious, Mr. Keneally promises, “It’s all true & documented.” Well, that’s  relief!

But what is curiously missing throughout all of his explanations is how Mr. Keneally can simultaneously sit on a CB and its AB, while retaining not only independence, but a straight face. In fact, AGS and AIAO-BAR share the same exact corporate officer, one “B. Lambert” of Sparks Nevada, where both companies are registered. What this means is that companies that pay AGS for certification services are simultaneously paying AIAO-BAR, too… so this is a far worse arrangement than the one Mr. Keneally is so upset about. At least ANAB has the decency to gouge the CBs, not the customer directly.

Mr. Keneally offered to send me the IAF’s tax returns, which he says proves Randy Dougherty runs ANAB, but I declined, since this is no big news. As I told Keneally, it’s on his fucking letterhead.

I did ask Mr. Keneally to provide me his tax returns, so we could see if the same person is signing those for AGS as is for the return for his allegedly “independent” accreditation body, AIAO-BAR… so far, he hasn’t provided it.

If you’d like to read the official court ruling on RAB vs Keneally, and compare it with Mr. Keneally’s account of the conclusion — click here. It’s a blast.
