Santa Clara CA — Metal finishing company Byington Steel, Inc. has received AS9100 certificate from NSF. The company provides quality heat treating services for aerospace and other industries, serving companies such as Boeing, Applied Materials and Northrup Grumman.
Oxebridge was called into Byington after the work of a previous consultant left them with existing major nonconformities. In response, Oxebridge provided a truncated version of its Rapid AS9100 Implementation Program, helping address the nonconformities while correcting the deficiencies — and inefficiencies — left behind by the previous consultant.
Within a few months, Byington was ready for audit by NSF, an ANAB accredited registrar of aerospace quality systems.
Byington steel’s next improvement effort will be to certify the company’s heat treat processes to the requirements of the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP).
