ANAB

The ANSI National Accreditation Board, or “ANAB”, is one of the officially-recognized accreditation bodies in the United States.

In the universe of THE AUDITOR, the organization is lead by Red Stinkaway, and utilizes Dale Carcinogen as one of its witness auditors.

ANAB has an underground headquarters that is not only bomb-proof, but also located inside a volcano; they purchased the building on the cheap, after a James Bond villain was captured and forced to sell his assets at auction.

ANAB helps its accredited certification bodies, including Ray Battlesbee‘s NQF International, avoid sanctions or criminal investigations by developing meandering defenses in response to formal complaints. It does so only if the CB in question has paid their dues, however. It often relies on procedures written by a former ANAB technical manager named Harry Lemons, who died in a potato famine.

Administrators within ANAB include Gary Smarmy and Elbow-Neck.

ANAB is a member of the IAF, which also helps cover up crimes and misdeeds, provided ANAB’s dues payments are up to date, too.

THE AUDITOR creator Christopher Paris modeled the inside of the ANAB office on the residence of Number 2 from the 1960’s TV show The Prisoner.

Why we report on these topics

Since 2000, Oxebridge has worked to improve ISO and related certification schemes by identifying problems and then proposing solutions. We report on issues affecting standards users because so few other news outlets do. Our belief is that in order to fix the problems in these schemes, we must first understand the nature and breadth of those problems. Our reporting aims to do just that. Elsewhere on the Oxebridge site you will find White Papers and other articles proposing ideas to correct these problems.
