Orlando FL — Puch Manufacturing Corp, a contract manufacturer of machined products for aerospace and other industries, has updated its quality management system to comply with AS9100 Rev C.

Puch was an ISO 9001 client for Oxebridge from 2004. In developing the new AS9100 system, Oxebridge worked with Puch management to streamline the QMS, while bringing it into compliance with the aerospace quality system standard.

Oxebridge also assisted Puch in obtaining grant funding for the AS9100 implementation, through Workforce Florida.

Puch has selected ISOQAR as its AS9100 registrar, and an audit is scheduled for late November 2012. ISOQAR is accredited by ANAB to conduct AS9100 compliance audits.

Why we report on these topics

Since 2000, Oxebridge has worked to improve ISO and related certification schemes by identifying problems and then proposing solutions. We report on issues affecting standards users because so few other news outlets do. Our belief is that in order to fix the problems in these schemes, we must first understand the nature and breadth of those problems. Our reporting aims to do just that. Elsewhere on the Oxebridge site you will find White Papers and other articles proposing ideas to correct these problems.
