The M3 Development Council website at www.emthreedev.org is currently down due to a dedicated denial of service (DDOS) attack launched from the Russian Federation. The attack does not appear to have been conducted by any specific individual, but rather by an automated script. The site will continue to remain down until additional security measures are implemented. Oxebridge anticipates this to be about 3 – 5 days. The M3 Development Council is working on the creation of the Management Maturity Model (M3) Schema, which will be used to develop various management system standards and certification schemes.
UPDATE 6 May 2014: our ISP has confirmed it was not a DDOS, but rather a “brute force” attack against one of the site’s databases. Again, it appears that this was a random attack, driven by a script, and not the work of any individual with any particular motive.
