Reston VA — OakTree Solutions, a provider of IT services for US government agencies, defense firms and other organizations, has been recommended for ISO 9001:2008 certification by NSF-ISR.
OakTree is a provider of software solutions and consulting services related to Infrastructure Management, Service Management, IT Governance, Workload Automation and Security Management. The company’s consulting services include ITIL and ITSM. OakTree is a Gold level authorized partner of CA® services.
The initial certification audit by NSF-ISR found no nonconformities, a rarity for certified organizations, and even more rare for organizations underoing their first registration audit. The final certificate of registration is expected pending review by NSF-ISR’s certification committee.
OakTree underwent Rapid ISO 9001 Implementation with Oxebridge, who began work on December 19th 2011, and completed the implementation on the week of February 20th 2012, in line with the two-month “40-Day Rapid ISO” program, giving consideration of end of year holiday shutdowns. Registrar election and third-party audit scheduling constituted the remaining time until the certification audit. The process structure implemented by OakTree and Oxebridge will enable the company to pursue CMMI immediately following the ISO 9001 implementation, without unnecessary duplication of effort.
OakTree represents the second Oxebridge client successfully certified to ISO 9001 under the Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC) Mentor-Protege Program. CSC assists protege organizations in achieving corporate goals, by connecting them with providers such as Oxebridge as well as with available grants. In 2010 NVision Solutions achieved AS9100 certification after utilizing Oxebridge’s Rapid AS9100 Implementation Program.
