Aerospace design firm Aspen Consulting Group has achieved AS9100 certification. Aspen provides contract design services for both rotary and fixed-wing aircraft manufacturers. Where a customer requires manufacturing and assembly, Aspen utilizes its daughter company, Alpine Aviation Group, to assist. Alpine was certified to AS9100 in 2022. Both Aspen and Alpine utilized Oxebridge for their AS9100 implementation programs.
Aspen’s AS9100 was issued by TQCS International’s US office. TQCSI has its main headquarters in Australia and is accredited by JASANZ and ANAB. Alpine is certified by Perry Johnson Registrars.
Aspen is a key contributor to the C5ISR Modular Open Suite of Standards (CMOSS) program and is recognized for research and development in both SIGINT and EW domains.
Aspen already had a robust design process in place and had been providing service to aerospace clients for many years. The lack of a third-party AS9100 certification, however, was blocking the company from bidding on more lucrative contracts. Oxebridge assisted in closing the gaps required by AS9100 and performing the internal audits and consulting necessary to ensure the system fully complied with the standard.
Aspen CEO Larry Singer said, “Because of Oxebridge, [Business Development Manager] Gordon Frank, and [Quality Manager] Sean Meehan, we are now able to bid on a huge, multi-billion dollar contract. Last time it was competed, we didn’t even bother to submit a proposal because we knew we didn’t qualify. This time, I think we have a shot.”
Aspen Consulting Group is located in New Jersey, while Alpine Aviation has its facility in Ozark, Missouri. Both companies provide services nationwide.
