If you thought the scammy, possibly illegal stuff the CyberAB did to get their sole-source DoD contract and form their incestuous little organization was bad, you clearly have not read their public IRS tax filings. The earnings and expenses are eye-watering, mind-boggling, and other hyphen-worthy levels of horrible. Keep in mind, the CyberAB has still not yet accredited a single CMMC C3PAO, because the AB has still not obtained ISO 17011 accreditation for itself. So all the earnings and expenses to date are just for them cosplaying as an AB, and not actually accrediting anything.
I’ll have more on this shortly (maybe, it’s a bit boring and I am easily distracted), but take a look at these numbers just for website and IT services. According to the group’s 2023 tax return, they spent over $1.4 million on these services.
- Clarity Ventures (Website Support): $510,000
- Carahsoft (IT Solutions): $268,000
- Summit 7 (IT Solutions): $196,000
- Misc IT Expenses: $441,000
- TOTAL: $1,415,000
Screenshots from the tax return, since you don’t believe me:
So what exactly has that $1.4 million earned them? Here’s a screenshot of the CyberAB’s website as of yesterday:
502 errors are server-side, so this means the problem was definitely caused by the CyberAB itself. Or at least one of their expensive IT service providers.
Oh, and yes, the CyberAB is paying Summit 7 in what is a total, inexcusable conflict of interest. Summit 7 and its resident cyberhobo Jacob Horne sell CMMC services. So we are supposed to believe that a C3PAO auditor will thoroughly and objectively audit a client that uses Summit 7 products and procedures, and maybe write nonconformities against them, all while knowing their boss — the CyberAB — has a financial relationship with Summit 7. And we’re supposed to believe that the CyberAB will fairly adjudicate any complaints that might be related to Summit 7 while they pay them nearly $200 grand a year.
CMMC is a grift, in case you weren’t putting the pieces together.
