Oxebridge Investigations Summary

Oxebridge has conducted investigations into companies certified under various ISO certifications for years. In addition, Oxebridge operates an independent, international ISO Whistleblower Program that allows secure reporting of incidents and scandals related to certified companies and their oversight bodies.

The table below provides a snapshot of nearly 90 of the investigations conducted or underway by Oxebridge. The data should not be treated as fully vetted, as some of the entries are still being researched. Having said that, approximately 50 additional entries are not included because of a lack of confirmed data, and so the actual number of active investigations is much higher.

In almost all cases, the companies involved were certified by a certification body (CB) which was then accredited by an IAF Multilateral Agreement (MLA) signatory accreditation body (AB). Despite this, the IAF has not taken any action in any of the cases listed, whether against the accredited bodies or the companies involved.

In almost all cases, the companies involved in the scandals or disasters retained their certification after widespread reporting and, in some cases, even after criminal or regulatory investigations. In no cases were the CBs or ABs held accountable, nor was the IAF.

While most incidents did not result in fatalities, for those that did and which are included in this table, the total dead to date is over 1,700.
