ISO Headquarters

The ISO Headquarters is a massive, moon-sized metallic sphere that acts as the main base for ISO, the International Organization for Standardization. It is rumored to have the ability to destroy a planet, as well as boring entire civilizations in mere minutes through a single, poorly-formatted PowerPoint slide deck.

Within, the ISO Emperor wields massive control, exerting his influence over the entire planet. He is supported by the ISO Secretary-General, Sergio Mujica, who spends most of his time cowering and sweating.

The design of the ISO HQ is obviously based on the Death Star from Star Wars, including the interior and throne room. ISO Guards are drawn to appear as Imperial Officers. The ISO Headquarters Death Star is only dwarfed by a similar-shaped, spaceborn object housing the Chinese Communist Party.

Why we report on these topics

Since 2000, Oxebridge has worked to improve ISO and related certification schemes by identifying problems and then proposing solutions. We report on issues affecting standards users because so few other news outlets do. Our belief is that in order to fix the problems in these schemes, we must first understand the nature and breadth of those problems. Our reporting aims to do just that. Elsewhere on the Oxebridge site you will find White Papers and other articles proposing ideas to correct these problems.
