A review by Oxebridge of the new AS9110 Rev. B standard, for aircraft repair stations, reveals that the revised document does include a number of minor new requirements.<\/p>\n
Below is a list of new or modified requirements in the AS9110 B standard, as compared to the Rev. A version. this does not include changes to Notes, definitions, non-substantive typo corrections, or any other change that does not constitute a new or modified “shall clause.”<\/p>\n
4.2.3.h: New requirement to report incomplete or ambiguous technical data to the customer and\/or author.<\/p>\n
5.6.2.h: New requirement that management review include product safety issues; review of audits removed.<\/p>\n
6.4: Human factors added to requirements for managing infrastructure<\/p>\n
7.1.4: New requirement limiting transfer of work only “in a manner acceptable to customers and authorities.”<\/p>\n
7.2.2: Added requirement “org shall use technical data at the contractually specified revision or at the latest revision, if not\u00a0specified.”<\/p>\n
7.4.2.k: Fixed significant typo: organization will flow down requirements for the supplier’s<\/strong> delivery documentation (not “organization’s”).<\/p>\n
7.4.2.l: Added requirements for reporting “product malfunctions.”<\/p>\n
7.5.1.o: Changed requirement that equipment be “recommended\u00a0by the\u00a0manufacturer” to “recommended by the technical data<\/em><\/strong>.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
7.5.2: Special processes must now also comply with the requirements of the\u00a0applicable\u00a0technical\u00a0data issued by the design approval holder.<\/p>\n
7.6: New requirement that the selection of M&M equipment will consider the\u00a0technical\u00a0data.<\/p>\n
8.2.1: Improvement plans must be consistent with safety policy and objectives<\/p>\n
8.2.3.b: Evaluation of nonconforming process must consider safety and reliability.<\/p>\n
8.2.4: Sampling inspection may only be used if compatible with the technical data provided by the design approval holder.<\/p>\n
