My novel DR. CUBA<\/strong><\/em> is now launched on Amazon<\/a>, and you can grab the e-book version for only 99 cents (or free, if you have Kindle Unlimited). This is a soft-launch of what I am calling the “Secret Syndicate Edition<\/em>” of the book, a pre-publication edition. If that sounds confusing, it just means that when I eventually get a publisher for this, the final edition may have slightly different content and cover art. The cover price will also go up, obviously.<\/p>\n

If you’re really cheap and don’t want to give me 99\u00a2, you can get the book for free by joining the Oxebridge Discord channel<\/a>. I’m trying to phase out our Slack channel, and as we switch to Discord, I am offering some freebies for those who sign on.<\/p>\n

DR. CUBA<\/strong><\/em> tells the story of Inspector Heiner Thumann who, in 1945, investigates a series of murders and gold heists attributed only to the name “Dr. Cuba.” Thumann, alongside his assistants Bernard Gentleman and Ximena Torres Orellana, must discover if Dr. Cuba is a criminal organization, a man, or even human.<\/p>\n

This is the first in a series of novels. The second, titled THE THREE HEADS OF DR. CUBA<\/strong><\/em>, is finished and awaiting final editing before release. The third, THE BLASPHEMIES OF DR. CUBA<\/strong><\/em>, is underway. Fans of crime fiction, film noir, horror, hard-boiled detective pulps, old silent films, and anything by filmmaker Fritz Lang, will enjoy this unusual series.<\/p>\n

DR. CUBA is also currently being translated into Spanish for a Latin America release, and I’ve started production on an audio book version. (Don’t wait too long for that, though, since it may take a while.)<\/p>\n
