In this video, I break down the Dept. of Defense’s insane contractual requirements with the overseeing body The Cyber AB, which hands ultimate control over the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) program to foreign actors and the actual enemies the CMMC program is supposed to protect us from.<\/p>\n
The DoD’s decision to let Mexico and China oversee CMMC was born of arrogance and stupidity, but continues to be pushed forward by DoD CIO John Sherman, who is afraid of losing face if he admits CMMC is broken and must be fixed. Instead, Sherman and the ever-incompetent Stacy Bostjanick are pushing full steam ahead on handing control of CMMC to foreign nations, likely knowing they will quit their FedGov posts before this thing ever actually reaches Congress to get yanked.<\/p>\n
But to be clear: there is no way Congress will allow a scheme that grants Mexico, Italy, or China the ultimate decision-making authority over the CMMC scheme. Can’t happen.<\/p>\n
