ISO TC 176 SC2 Chair Nigel Croft’s consulting firm, The Croft Alliance Global (TCA Global) has opened up three new offices<\/a>, in Mexico, Brazil and India.<\/p>\n

As I’ve noted before, Dr. Croft’s firm is made up nearly entirely of TC 176 members<\/a> he poached\u00a0<\/del>recruited during the development of ISO 9001:2015. Among them are\u00a0Alex Ezrakhovich, Colin MacNee and Peter Merrill. The company offers “quality management” consulting, which is convenient, since these are the same guys who made ISO 9001:2015 so horrifically confusing, we will all be needing to hire overpriced European consultants to decipher it.<\/p>\n

Dr. Croft<\/a> is the go-to guy for registrars seeking an ISO shill<\/a> to help them boost their business, and is currently the most prominent promoter for the new standard. Which means, when it all falls apart, we have someone to blame.<\/p>\n

But apparently the cash isn’t flowing in too fast, because his website’s blog is up to its nose-holes in spam. This screencap, taken today (Feb 14th) is particularly hilarious:<\/p>\n

What his site lacks in ISO 9001 information, it makes up for in ads for moisturizers and news about “feminine snowboarders.” But I do think reader “Best Buy Cyber Monday” was a little harsh about Dr. Croft’s sexual attitudes. Writing ISO 9001 is dull stuff, \u00a0what he does on his off time is his business!<\/p>\n

Anyway, the site is a textbook, blow-by-blow, living classroom on everything you can do wrong with a blog. Post infrequently? Check. Links don’t work? Got it. Don’t bother with spam filters? Sure.<\/p>\n

Achingly awkward meta-conscious irony? You know, that the guy the world looks to as the leader of “quality” can’t even get a prepackaged WordPress template to work?<\/p>\n

Yeah, that too.<\/p>\n

And let’s be really, really<\/em> honest. As much as it wants to sound<\/em> as if TCA Global is now… er, “global,” … this just means he got a few of his pals in other countries to take calls. There’s no huge network, no massive infrastructure of office staff, with multilingual receptionists, no reading rooms or corporate jets. It’s a guy with some connections and a bunch of dumb, egotistical friends who bought into a promise that their largely disrespected work on TC 176 could finally be traded for stardom and a higher class of hotel hooker. They will find out soon enough that all they’ve done is created a one-stop shop for processing the impending rage that ISO 9001:2015 users will want to throw at someone.<\/p>\n

Seeing as how I am probably one of the only ISO Award Winning ISO 9001 Consultants<\/a> out there, I await my invitation to join The Croft Alliance. I have my smoking jacket, jar of caviar, and sharktooth-rhinohorn-humanskin hat at the ready.<\/p>\n
