A while back, we ran a blog entry<\/a> on the various editorial parody graphics that have accompanied Oxebridge articles over time. Often these graphics are used as tiny thumbnails for the entries, or otherwise embedded in an article and often overlooked.<\/p>\n

So without further adieu, here are some of the more recent examples of our (alas) Constitutionally-protected free speech in graphic form.<\/p>\n

U-Turn Permitted<\/strong><\/p>\n

This one I really like, and it accompanied an article<\/a> on the really bizarre decision by ANAB and UKAS to allow some companies, under some circumstances, to downgrade their AS9100 audit to an ISO 9001 audit in the middle of the audit itself.\u00a0 Pilots will get a kick out of this.<\/p>\n

Little Red Rule Book!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The International Accreditation Forum got the Chinese propaganda treatment after we reported<\/a> on how its Chair was handed over to a representative from the Chinese national accreditation body CNAS.<\/p>\n

Brand Mashup<\/strong><\/p>\n

ISO appeared to have announced<\/a> that its standards will literally save over 2 million lives every year, although we’re pretty sure that’s offset by the 5 million lives they cost from infected paper cuts. ISO knows it can’t sue when its logo is used for purposes of editorial parody, but we still expect Wrigley candy company to sue for having their brand tainted by proximity to ISO.<\/p>\n

Unholy Marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n

ANAB’s willingness to overlook<\/a> the fact that the President of Platinum Registration is married to the President of consultancy Cavendish Scott led to this loving graphic.<\/p>\n

Thank You Sir, May I Have Another?<\/strong><\/p>\n

ANAB is all about the spanking when it comes to “softgrading” nonconformities, but not so much when its certification bodies needlessly “hardgrade” nonconformities<\/a>. That’s gonna leave a mark!<\/p>\n

Why Did You Resign?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A lot of readers didn’t get this one, but it was a riff off of the title sequence<\/a> of the surrealist 1960’s TV show, The Prisoner<\/em><\/strong>. In that show, an unnamed secret agent resigns, and a computer types “X’s” over his photo. This accompanies Oxebridge’s report<\/a> on ANAB VP Randy Dougherty “retiring,” although all sources indicate he didn’t really. Leaving us to wonder, “who is Number One?”<\/p>\n

Ouch! That Hurt! Now Let Me Reload…<\/strong><\/p>\n

The IAQG can’t seem to help itself lately, and keeps shooting itself in the foot. So much so, we’ve had to use this graphic more than once. Here’s just one example<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Oxebridge’s frightening look<\/a> at the overcaffeinated legislation known as ITAR resulted in this graphic, inspired by a favorite board game.<\/p>\n

This one only works when you say the name of this Australian accreditation body<\/a> out loud.<\/p>\n

Things That Are All White<\/strong><\/p>\n

This next graphic never appeared, as the article it was intended for never fully materialized, but it remains pretty funny nonetheless. After Quality Digest<\/em> hired a bankruptcy lawyer<\/a> (yes, we didn’t understand that either) to defend its position supporting someone known to espouse white supremacist views, we noticed that their editorial staff<\/a> were shockingly white. Like blindingly, retina-burning white. As in, “even the sun squints when it looks at those people” white. So that may explain their editorial choices.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
