There are no new requirements, only clarifications and additional explanatory notes. What this means is that companies who are currently compliant or certified to ISO 9001:2000 need to nothing to continue to comply with the 2008 version. For those companies certified by an accredited registrar, they will find their next certificate to <strong>automatically <\/strong>read &#8220;ISO 901:2008&#8221; after their next surveillance audit.<\/p>\n<p>However, some companies &#8212; especially those that have carefully aligned their Quality Manual or other quality system documentation with the wording and numbering of ISO 9001:2000 &#8212; may wish to update their documentation to include the new language.
