ISO 14001 is a standard published by the International Organization for Standardization that defines accepted practices for how a company can manage its environmental impact, to reduce pollution, waste and harm to the environment.<\/p>\n

Certification costs are determined by the Certification Body, but average about $1,300 per audit day. The number of audit days is based on employee count and other factors, per IAF MD5<\/a>. Oxebridge’s implementation costs are discussed below.<\/p>\n

Oxebridge can provide the implementation portion in as little as 4o working days (two months). The Certification Body audit then takes a few days, but the final certificate may not be received until a month later.<\/p>\n

The ISO 14001 standard is available for sale by ISO at www.iso.ch<\/a>. It may be available through national standards bodies at lower prices, however.<\/p>\n

A company that implements the standard can then obtain “ISO 14001 certification” by undergoing an audit by an accredited Certification Body. After a successful audit, the company receives an internationally-recognized certificate attesting that the Environmental Management System conforms to ISO 14001.<\/p>\n
