This one appears to be under review, apparently a draft was voted on in March 17. Any news on when it might be released as a new version?

The draft seems shorter than the current one and no mention of RBT/COTO etc – at least on the contents Preview…(?)

There also seems to be some sort of Option A / Option B certification pathway depending on whether the organization already has 9001. Is that a viable approach or would it be better to ditch 9001 and change to 17025, if applicable to the company’s business and strategy?

Our organisation chooses not to ditch the 9001 since we use it global.

But we did create a Quality Manual for the Lab (with some reference to the ISO 9001 QMS) so we are sure to cover the standard ISO 17025:2017

If you manufacturing things and need 9001, then you should keep it and get both. If you don’t manufacture anything, and 17025 is sufficient, then drop 9001.
