This is my first post. As you can see i from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I’ve been in the Manufacturing/Service and Quality fields since 1966 (Nortel Networks – 17 yrs production plus 18 years QC/QA. For the last 18 years, with a world-class CB as an ISO/TL 9001 Lead Auditor.
At Nortel I audited standards such as DMPV, Z299.1 & 2 &, and ISO/TL9001. As a contract auditor for the CB I have pretty much done nothing but ISO/TL9001 and a few Z299.1 audits for hydro. When I read a thread I normally respond as a CB auditor, you know it’s either right or wrong. This approach has gotten “booted” from a few quality sites, which will remain nameless, because the Admins just would not debate or discuss – it was their way or get booted, never disagree or challenge.
Once again please understand that I’m not trying to be critical of any posts and if I do challenge you please understand that I’m simply trying to help. I’ve been on both sides of an audit (auditee and auditor) and as such I have been able to look at situations from the “other side”. I have never gone into an audit with the intent of seeing how many NCR’s could be raised. I don’t believe that is the bottom- lime intent of a Certification/Registration audit.people are people and we all make mistakes.
