Hawthorne CA - Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) has successfully launched its Falcon 1 rocket, carrying a 164 kg mass simulator payload into orbit.  According to the company’s press release, “with this key milestone, Falcon 1 becomes the first privately developed liquid fuel rocket to orbit the Earth.”

SpaceX successfully completed an ISO 9001 audit by NSF, an ANAB accredited registrar, in April 2006. ISO 9001 implementation services were provided by Oxebridge Quality Resources. Arlington VA — Information security provider Lunarline, Inc. has been recommended for ISO 9001:2000 certification by Platinum Registration (Denver CO), an ANAB accredited ISO 9001 certification body.

Lunarline is a provider of Information Security and Information Assurance (IS/IA) services. The company manages, designs, develops, integrates, maintains, audits, protects, documents, and trains the security for systems, devices, facilities, telecommunications, and software for Federal government agencies and Fortune 500 companies.

Oxebridge began Rapid ISO 9001 Implementation for Lunarline at the end of July 2008, for a complete ISO 9001 implementation time frame of two months, as promised by Oxebridge’s “Rapid ISO 9001 Implementation Program”. The actual number of days utilized was less than 40 days. The certification of Lunarline on its first third-party audit continues Oxebridge’s 100% success rate for the Rapid ISO 9001 program clients, since the implementation program was begun in 1999; no Oxebridge clients has ever failed to receive ISO 9001 recommendation on the first audit attempt, regardless of registrar selected.

Final receipt of Lunarline’s accredited ISO 9001 certificate is expected in the next few weeks, pending some paperwork and mandatory accreditation reviews by Platinum staff. To ensure validity of US ISO 9001 certificates, registrars like Platinum must perform in-depth reviews of all auditor reports prior to issuance of the final certificate. These reviews and audit reports may then be subject to review by ANAB, the international accrediting body which authorizes companies like Platinum to issue certificates.

There is growing need by the Federal government and private industry for companies like Lunarline to achieve international accreditation of their systems and programs. Oxebridge is readying a launch of a number of new implementation programs to address these requirements, including ISO 27001 implementation for Information Security Management Systems, and ISO 17024 implementation, to assist training providers on obtaining international accreditation for their IA/IS training programs.
